#TexasScottishFestival Had fun at the Texas Scottish Festival in Decatur today with Rick's family, who are with #ClanBuchanan . Both of us got kilts, his a utility kilt and I got a fun one with red plaid because the purple ones didn't fit right.

Sometimes everything goes well and everything “clicks” sometimes you just don’t bring your A game. Today was a rough day, a good one no doubt, but didn’t go exactly as I had hoped. Weather was beautiful, field was good condition give the crazy amount of recent rain, and we had a huge group of C class throwers most and some really tough competitors. I didn’t throw any PRs and struggled in most event more than I usually do but nonetheless I managed to place third out of twelve which is no small feat considering the competitors. Aaron Woods and his crew put on a great show and had some really challenging cabers. Congratulations to Cole Selby @ccselby72 for pulling off the win. It was a pleasure competing with you and hope to see you on the field again soon. All in all it was a good way to wrap up my first calendar year of competing in the Highland Games. I’ve made some pretty decent improvements over the past year and clearly have a long ways to go but I have no intention of slowing down. This games also marks the end of my “spring season”. Now I’ve got a short break to work on a lot of things before we get fired back up for he fall season. I can’t wait to see what the future hold for me in the crazy sport that most people have never heard of. #highlandgames #throwing #throwbros #sportkilt #hviii #hviiibrandgoods #texasscottishfestival
