Highland Dancing

With origins based on Scottish legend and history, the dances are a spectacular combination of strength, agility, movement, music, and costume. One of the oldest traditional dances of Scotland, the Highland Fling, signifies victory of battle. The Seann Triubhas began as a political protest after the battle of Culloden in 1746 when the English banned the wearing of the kilt. Stop by and experience this rich Scottish tradition.

Demonstration Schedule

Sessions are Saturday, May 12th at 11am & 1pm. Dancers will share a wide variety of styles & will be joined this year by Piper Doug Frobese.
